Branding Project | Thorn Restaurant & Lounge

When The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare opened in november 2018, the hotel’s outlet was known simply as ‘the restaurant/Lounge’. In the fall of 2020, on a $500 budget, liz branded the Restaurant as Thorn Restaurant & Lounge with a full brand identity, local listings, digital menus and social media profiles. In 2021, the brand was reinforced with a vanity website, paid media, an email program, and PR.

Thorn Restaurant & Lounge’s 2021 revenue increased by 31% over 2019 despite COVID-19 local ordinance mitigations being in place for most of 2021, including capacity limits and/or vaccination card requirements.
